CVS trip 1-22-11…. I’m baaaack!

Yes my first “official” CVS posting of the year… aren’t you all excited?… although now I have an accomplice! 🙂 Oh, and today I saw another shopper in my CVS with a coupon binder, so I know I am not the only one harassing them! Ha!

As you can see, it was a candy week… the people in my household (okay, mainly Ben) have a tendency to get a sweet tooth and then go buy something at *gasp* FULL PRICE so I thought I would take advantage of the good sales and stock up a little for those days.

Since I am a member of their Advisory Panel, last week I received an email survey to take, which as payment I received $5 in ECBs. So I bought 2 candy bars and some Jet Dry, paid with the $5 ECBs and got $2.48 in ECBs back. I think the cashier screwed up because I didn’t even have to pay tax, which you normally do. So this week I started with $2.48 ECBs.

(2) Large Bags of M&Ms… reg price $3.99 ea, on sale 2/$5
$1/2 manu coupon stacked with $1 off CVS coupon
= $1.50 ea + got $1 ECB back

(1) 4-pk Duracell Batteries… reg price $4.99, on sale $2.99
$2 manu coupon
= 99¢

(1) Homeopathic Cough Syrup… reg price $7.29, on sale $5
$1 manu coupon peelie on box
= $4 + got $5 ECBs back

(3) Reese’s PB Cups and (3) Kit Kats… reg price 89¢ ea, on sale buy 2 get 1 free
(2) B1G1 manu coupons
= 30¢ ea (6 for the price of 2!)

(4) pks Orbit Gum… reg price $1.29 ea, on sale B1G1
(2) B1G1 manu coupons
= All 4 FREE

(1) Ibuprofren… reg price $13.49, on sale $9.99
—————–
Subtotal:
$44.25
After sales and coupons: $19.66
Paid with previous ECBs: -$2.48
Total: $17.18 and got back $6 in ECBs (61% savings!)

I think Carter's liking that Kit Kat a little too much...

Next Week: Due to popular request I am going to do a 3 or 4 part series on how I “coupon” at CVS. Stay tuned…

I totally want to squeeze Carter’s cheeks! Look at his face, so precious! Also, I will be looking for the tutorial on how you “coupon” at CVS.
